Buying an 8ft trampoline: what to know
An 8ft trampoline sits between the compact 6ft and the popular 10ft. The frame is 8 feet in diameter, but you need to allow around 12 feet of clear space in each direction to accommodate the enclosure and leave a safe margin at the edges.
Weight limits on 8ft trampolines in our range typically run from around 75kg to 100kg. This makes them suitable for children and lighter adults, though they are primarily used by children aged 5 to 10. The bounce is noticeably more responsive than a 6ft model — the larger mat and increased spring count give more lift, which children in this age range enjoy.
One consideration with an 8ft trampoline: the jump area is still relatively modest. If you have multiple children who will want to use it at the same time, or if you expect older children to be jumping on it within the next couple of years, it is worth considering a 10ft from the start. The price difference between an 8ft and a 10ft is moderate, and the practical difference in usable jump space is significant.
Assembly takes around 60 minutes with two people. Spring tensioning tool included.
Looking at other sizes? For a smaller garden, a 6ft trampoline fits tighter spaces. If you have room, a 10ft trampoline is the most popular choice and suits a wider age range. See our accessories for covers and anchor kits.
Frequently asked questions about 8ft trampolines
What age is an 8ft trampoline suitable for?
An 8ft trampoline suits children aged 5 and upwards. The larger jump area compared to a 6ft model gives children more room to develop their jumping, and the bounce is noticeably more responsive. Children up to around 10 or 11 typically get a lot from an 8ft. Older children and teenagers usually prefer a 10ft or larger.
How much garden space does an 8ft trampoline need?
Allow around 12 feet of clear space in each direction. The 8ft frame plus the safety enclosure plus a reasonable fall zone margin adds up to roughly 12 feet in every direction. Measure your available space before ordering.
What is the weight limit on an 8ft trampoline?
Weight limits on 8ft models in our range typically run from 75kg to around 100kg. Check each individual product page for the confirmed limit. These are single-user limits — the trampoline is not designed for multiple jumpers at the same time.
Do 8ft trampolines come with a safety enclosure?
Yes. Every trampoline we sell, including all 8ft models, ships with a full safety enclosure as standard. The spring tensioning tool is also included in the box.
How long does delivery take on an 8ft trampoline?
Free next-day delivery is included on all 8ft trampolines. Order before 11am on a working day and your trampoline will typically arrive the following day. A tracking link is sent once your order is dispatched.
