Choosing the right trampoline size

The most common question we get is: which size should I buy? The honest answer depends on two things — how much garden space you have and how old your children are.

A 6ft trampoline fits in tight spots and suits children aged 3 to 6. It is the right choice when garden space is genuinely limited, but the jump area is modest and older children will outgrow it quickly. An 8ft trampoline is a reasonable step up — still compact, but gives a noticeably better bounce for children aged 5 to 9.

The 10ft trampoline is our bestseller and suits most families. If you have a garden of average size and children aged 8 or older, a 10ft model gives a solid bounce for both children and adults without taking over the garden. You need around 14 to 15 feet of clear space in each direction.

If you want more room — for two children to jump at the same time, or for teenagers who want more height — a 12ft trampoline is the next step. It needs about 16 feet of clear space and the price increase is moderate. The 14ft and 16ft sizes are for larger gardens and older jumpers. Weight limits are higher across these bigger frames, which matters if adults will be using the trampoline regularly.

All trampolines in our range ship with a free safety enclosure and spring tensioning tool. You can also add a weather cover or anchor kit at checkout to protect your trampoline year-round.

Frequently asked questions about trampolines

How do I choose the right trampoline size?

Start with your garden. Measure the area where the trampoline will sit and allow roughly 2 feet of extra clearance in each direction beyond the frame diameter for the safety enclosure. A 10ft trampoline needs about 14 to 15 feet of clear space; a 12ft needs about 16 feet. Once you have confirmed which sizes will fit, consider the age and weight of the children using it. Younger, lighter children get good bounce from 6ft and 8ft models. Children aged 8 and up tend to get more from a 10ft or larger frame.

Do all your trampolines include a safety enclosure?

Yes. Every trampoline in our range ships with a full safety enclosure as standard. The enclosure attaches to the frame via enclosure poles and wraps around the jump mat, keeping jumpers safely inside. We do not sell trampolines without enclosures. You also receive a spring tensioning tool with every trampoline, which is needed for assembly and for re-tensioning springs over time.

What is the weight limit on your trampolines?

Weight limits vary by model and size. Across the range, 6ft models typically have limits from 50kg to 75kg. 8ft models run from 75kg to 100kg. 10ft, 12ft, 14ft, and 16ft models generally range from 100kg to 150kg depending on the specific trampoline. Always check the individual product page for the confirmed weight limit — these are the manufacturer-specified maximums and should not be exceeded.

How long does delivery take?

We offer free next-day delivery on all orders. Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday. If you order before 11am on a working day, your trampoline will typically arrive the following day. You will receive a tracking link by email once your order is dispatched. Next-day delivery is included at no extra charge — there is nothing to add at checkout.

How long does assembly take?

Assembly time depends on the size. A 6ft trampoline takes around 45 to 60 minutes with two people. A 10ft takes 60 to 90 minutes. A 14ft or 16ft takes 90 minutes to 2 hours. All components bolt or clip together — no specialist tools required beyond the spring tensioning tool that is included in the box. Most customers find the instructions clear and manageable without professional help.

Can I leave my trampoline outside all year?

Our trampolines are built for outdoor use and the galvanised steel frames resist rust in normal conditions. That said, a weather cover extends the life of the jump mat and padding significantly by protecting against UV damage and rain pooling. We recommend adding a weather cover at purchase — it is much easier to fit before the first winter than to source one later. An anchor kit is also worth considering if your garden is exposed to strong winds.
